Happy New Year!! Well it has been more than a few months since I have posted and starting this blog mostly for entertainment for Nina. The holidays are behind us and time to get once again shed a few pounds.
By the way in response to my first post and goal of 185 for the wedding, I didn't make it as I weighed in at 188. I was still satisfied with the 17-18 pounds I lost in 6 weeks.
So here we are again. Looking to get down to 180 or so, but not trying to do it so fast or looking to kill myself with my workouts. Its just too hard to maintain, and I end up getting burned out quickly they way I have done it in the past. I am hoping I am onto something with this new eating plan I have been doing the last 5 days which is a serving of Protein, vegetables, and Legumes at all meals. No calorie counting, and eat until I am full. So far so good, I am not starving and I feel energized. I will report back each week with a update on weight loss. My workouts have been 2o minutes of weights and 30-40 of cardio, nothing too difficult or draining just a solid workout in which you feel great after finishing.
Lets get moving!!!

The first week of intense training is always the most painful
Here is the summary of the last two days. Yesterday I pushed myself a little too hard and nearly got sick from exhaustion. My abs hurt so much, I can't make any movement without feeling the deep soreness. Today I backed off the cardio a little and ate a little more. I am not going to say how much weight I have lost in 4 days, you guys will think that it is impossible unless I am starving myself.
Day3: 30 min weights (Legs and Back). 25 min stair stepper, 20 min elliptical, 45 min jog/walk outside. The last two days heat index has been around hundred and more humid than normal
Diet: Kashi Cereal, protein shake/Chopped Steak, side salad/protein shake/Grilled Chicken strips with Cheddar
Day4: 30 min weights (Chest and shoulders), 45 min spin class
Diet: Kashi Cereal, Protein shake/10 wings with dry rub, side salad/Protein shake/3 eggs with 3 turkey sausage patties/Grilled Chicken strips with feta cheese

The pain begins.....
Day 1: 20 min of weights (chest/shoulders). 45 min spin class and 35 min jog outside.
Day2: 30 min of weights (arms and abs). 45 min spin class and 35 min jog outside.
Yesterday wasn't too bad. I took it easy with the weights and my legs were fresh as I have not done any running or anything in over a week. Today was much harder. My legs were tired and sore and it was hot and humid for my run. The last 15 min of my run is was pure will power, my legs were cramping and it felt like I was back at Furman doing the first few days of camp.
Diet
Day 1: Protein Bar, Coke Zero/ Chicken Wrap with a side salad/3 eggs with cheddar/Protein Shake
Day 2: Kashi Cereal, Protein shake/3 fish tacos/Protein shake/2 Grilled Hamburgers with Cheese no bun, Protein shake

No more excuses!!
Its time to get serious and get back in shape. The goal is to be 185 or less by the big day. That is 23 pounds to lose as of yesterday morning. I know I can do it, as I lost 30 pounds in two months a few years ago.
I figured I might create a blog for a few reasons. 1. Nina is going to be so excited, that I am joining her in the blogging world 2. Maybe this will help me stay motivated if I have a few of you keeping up with my progress 3. This will give me something else to do in the evening when I am sitting here by myself. So words of encouragement would be great!!
